The original form of "Kanjincho" was played by Danjuro Ichikawa the 1st, but the final program was completed by Danjuro Ichikawa the 7th, who played in Kawarazaki-za in 1840.
Yoshitsune was played by his eldest son, the eighth generation Danjuro.
Yoshitsune and his team were caught at the Ataka gate station on the way of escaping from Yoritomo.
It is a popular program for Benkei to act with the intention of putting on Yoshitsune, and Togashi as the Gate head, who is aware of it, but miss them purposely.
