Ushiwakamaru, who trained at Kuramayama and was taught swordplay by the crow tengu, decided to go to Oshu relying on Hidehira Fujiwara, with rejecting to be a monk.
Kyoto was ruled by the Heike, and if he won’t become a monk, he could be attacked by the Heike.
Ushiwakamaru set out for Oshu with a merchant named Kichiji.
On the way, a bandit named Chohan Kumasaka attacked him and Ushiwakamaru repulsed.
On his journey, when he came to Shimotsuke, it got dark, so he asked young woman to stay at one house.
The young wife at home said, "My husband hasn't come home yet, but please stay."
After a while, a good man came back saying, "Who is at my house?"
Ushiwakamaru talked that he was a child of Yoshitomo Minamoto who was destroyed by the Heike, and he was about to go to Hidehira Fujiwara in Oshu by the introduction of his mother.
The man said, “I am from the priest of Ise and I am Yoshimori Ise Saburo. My father was very grateful to Mr. Yoshitomo Minamoto. I’m really grad to meet with Prince of Genji. Please make me a servant."
From that time, Ise Saburo became a servant of Ushiwakamaru (Yoshitsune Minamoto), and devoted himself all his life to Yoshitsune.
